Welcome to Cornerstone Robotics

The Cornerstone Robotics Team which originated in February 2003 is comprised of 8th – 12th grade students from Cornerstone Academy and local home schoolers.

The first year student’s curriculum is a course in basic electronics theory. The second year’s study is primarily devoted to programming PIC microcontrollers in PicBasic Pro. The first semester of the third year curriculm will be instruction covering the design, fabrication, and operation Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). After that, the team designs and builds projects that are entered into electronics and robotics competitions.

The varsity team's Internet controlled robotic arm placed first in Electronics Research and Experimentation at the 2010 National TSA Conference in Baltimore, MD. See video of arm working.

The 2010-2011 team placed first at the MATE Florida Regional and seventh overall at the 2011 International ROV Competition hosted by the Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas on June 16 – 18, 2011.
